It's spring and the 'qi' is flowing thick and fast! bbcn is grasping this magic moment to hold its first dinner-debate on May 12th. We'll start with a sumptuous sit-down meal (menu available on request) so that people have a chance to network and focus their energy for the second part - a debate that's meant to provoke thought and fire the passions! The motion:- 'British Born Chinese are British first and Chinese second.' We'll be inviting BBCs to speak for and against the motion. This promises to be a fun evening, so make sure to book early! Price of tickets: £10 for Meridian Society and bbcn members; £13 for non-members. This event will be restricted to 60 people only, so tickets will be issued on a first come first served basis.
Please reserve your places(s) no later than April 30th by emailing themeridiansoceity@gmail.com or reply through Facebook (under the groups of "The Meridian Society" or "British Born Chinese Network"), indicating your membership number, if applicable. (Please let us know if you're vegetarian.) Once your reservations has been confirmed, you will be asked to send your payment by cheque.
