The Practice of Feng Shui in the West

The Meridian Society together with British Born Chinese Network will be hosting a talk on Feng Shui on Friday 14th March 2008 at the School of Oriental and African Studies. The talk will be delivered by Dr. Michael Oon, an international Feng Shui consultant.

Feng Shui is a 5,000-year old Chinese practice of the management of land and buildings. It is now used as a tool of competitive advantage by large corporations. Dr Oon will introduce what is Feng Shui, why people use Feng Shui and what the benefits of applying Feng Shui are. He will also describe how this traditional Chinese philosophy is being used successfully outside its homeland, providing examples of its application in the United Kingdom and other parts of the world.

If you are a Feng Shui enthusiast, it is an opportunity for you to gather some useful tips to experiment for yourself! Dr Michael Oon was hand picked by his master, Shyan Tseng, to continue the practice of traditional Feng Shui as part of the next generation. Michael was a Forensic Scientist with the Metropolitan Police (Scotland Yard) and has a Ph.D from the University of London.
