The Meridian Society elects new Board of Directors

At this year's AGM, held on January 30th at Ah King Restaurant, London WC1A, a new Board of Directors was elected, as follows:

Chair:Ms Peng Wenlan

Directors: Ms Li Chungwen, Ms Jo Hirst, Mr Michael Sheringham, Mr Danny Tsang.

Ms Wong Lai Sheung continues as our Administrator. Mr Hi Ching has generously volunteered his services as Cultural Coordinator (non-Board director) and will assist the society in its artistic and heritage-related endeavours. Mr Daniel Wang will act as Coordinator for Origin Eight, a newly formed club under the auspices of BBCN. Ms Jenny Hao will be his deputy.

We are happy to announce that our former Chair Mr Su Liqun and Vice Chair Mr Law Kamsang, will both be staying on as Advisers, together with Ms Sherry Kuei, who was also a former director. The new Board would like to take this opportunity to express their thanks to all outgoing directors for their unswerving dedication to the society. We are also grateful to Mr Ricky Law - our honorary auditor, Ms Barbara Morfopoulos - our pro bono lawyer, and Mr Hi Ching - our voluntary Cultural Coordinator, for their generous time in assisting the society.
