Congratulations to our Dragon Boat team - and thank you to all our sponsors and supporters!
21 volunteers from the Meridian Society and BBCN took part in the London Hong Kong Dragon Boat Race on Sunday 8 June. It was a fantastic day and the team raised over £2,000 in sponsorship for the British Red Cross Sichuan Earthquake Appeal!

Dear Friends,
You have all seen or heard news about the dreadful earthquake in Sichuan. We at The Meridian Society and BBCN are putting together plans for an earthquake appeal and will inform you as soon as possible of details. Come the time, we will be counting on your support. In January 2008, the Society will be launching BBCN - British Born Chinese Network - with the aim of embracing yet another significant group: people of Chinese origin or mixed parentage, born or brought up in the UK, who wish to discover their Chinese heritage and, at the same time, see how best to integrate it into “being British”.
